How do you share your contraction log with your midwife?
Last updated:
In Popzy, open History, choose the session and tap share. You can send it as a text log, with every contraction's time, length, gap and intensity and a summary line, or as an image card. It goes through your phone's normal share sheet, so you can send it by message, email or any chat app to your midwife, doula or partner.
Step by step
- Open the History tab.
- Tap the session you want to share, or the share button beside it.
- Choose Text log or Image card.
- Pick the app and the person to send it to.
What the log includes
The text log starts with a summary, for example "12 contractions, on average 58s long and 4m 50s apart", and your go-time rule. Then each contraction gets a line with its number, time of day, length, the gap since the one before and the intensity you gave it.
Reading it out on the phone
When you call your maternity unit, keep Popzy open on the timer or the session. The rule card shows your recent average ("Lately every 4m 50s, 58s long"), which is usually what they ask first.

Can I fix a contraction before I share?
Yes. In the session, you can edit a contraction's times, delete one, or add one you missed, then share.
Does Popzy send my log anywhere by itself?
No. Popzy only shares when you tap share and pick where it goes. Your history stays on your phone otherwise.
Get Popzy on iPhone and Android
Popzy is not a medical device. It times contractions and does not replace advice from your midwife, doctor or maternity unit. If you are unsure, or if your waters break, you notice bleeding, your baby moves less or anything feels wrong, call them.
